CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department has released the identity of the adult male who drowned on Monday, July 27.
Just before 1 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 6500 block of Jessup Road for a report that an adult male, identified as Linwood M. Chester Jr., 47, had fallen from a boat into the pond and had not resurfaced. Chesterfield County Fire &EMS responded and began searching the pond for Chester, of the 5900 block of Zion Ridge Drive. At about 2:45 p.m., members of the Scuba Rescue Team recovered his body.
Police continue to investigate this incident, but at this point foul play is not suspected.
